This is a portrait of the daughter of a student of mine. I painted it on a clear primed linen canvas and found the paint got absorbed into the linen too much, I abandoned it at this stage. Not happy with hair but I am doing a double portrait of mother and daughter at the moment which is going much better on a properly primed linen canvas. Friday 6 August 2010
